Siliguri, 02nd February: 11 gamblers were held by the NJP police from a gambling den in Siliguri’s Santipara area. The arrested have been identified as Vishwajit Thikadar, Vishnu Sarkar, Paritosh Thikadar, Kamakhya Sarkar, Narayan Mahato, Karthik Talapatra, Vivek Roy, Kailas Sen, Ratan Mazumdar, Zahidul Mia, and Mohammad Babul.
The police launched the operation, on Saturday night, based on a complaint lodged at the police station a few days ago. Police seized items used in gambling along with 18 thousand rupees. The accused were produced in the Jalpaiguri court today.
