NJP GRP nabs mobile phone thief within three hours of theft 

Siliguri, 13th April: The Government Railway Police (GRP) officials nabbed a thief within 03 hours of the crime and recovered a mobile phone from the accused. Reportedly, a passenger after arriving at the NJP station today, realized that the mobile kept in his pants’ pocket was missing. The matter was reported to the NJP GRP immediately. 


Acting promptly, the GRP launched a search operation and arrested the burglar from the station premises within three hours. The stolen mobile phone was recovered from his possession and was handed over to its rightful owner, Raja Bhattacharya. He highly praised the prompt action of the NJP GRP officials. 

Apparently, in the last few months, several passengers’ mobile phones have been allegedly stolen from the NJP station premises. While the police have recovered several stolen mobile phones, they suspect that some notorious gang might be involved in the crime.
