Cooch Behar, 24th January: The new website of NBSTC was inaugurated today by Partha Pratim Roy, Chairman of the North Bengal National Transport Association. People will be able to know the departure time of the bus from the depot through the website. Apart from this, passengers will soon be able to book long-distance bus tickets online.
NBSTC has been providing services in various districts of the state. Presently more than 600 buses are plying on the road. Till now the NBSTC had its website “nbstc.in”, but no information was available there. Due to this, the passengers would often face problems and troubles. To overcome the hassles, the old website has been updated and given a new look.
On the new website, information on bus schedules, phone number of the depot, tourism, and all the necessary information including the phone numbers of the officers will be available. Apart from this, an e-ticketing system is also being introduced. With this, passengers can also book long-distance bus tickets sitting at home just like trains or flights. The system will start in the next 3 months. At the same time, Chairman Partha Pratim Roy said that CNG buses would be plying on the Baharampur-Kolkata route.
