Panitanki, 12th March: Nepal Police and Narcotics Bureau of Nepal, based on a tip-off, launched a joint operation and arrested two Indian nationals in Kakarbhitta in the Indo-Nepal border area for drug trafficking.
The arrested accused have been identified as 30-year-old Laxmi Chettri of Manipur and 38-year-old Gayatri Chettri of Darjeeling. Two kilograms of opium, estimated to be worth lakhs of rupees in the international market, was recovered from their possession.
