NBU Security Personnel submitted memorandum to the Vice Chancellor against safety concern demanding security 

Siliguri, 23rd December; The security personnel of North Bengal University submitted a memorandum to the Vice Chancellor of the University demanding security. 


 

It is to be noted, that just before the arrival of University Education Minister Bratya Basu, the security personnel stopped the land agitators from putting up a mic in front of the administrative building. After the incident, agitator Abhijit Sanyal lodged a complaint at the Matigara police station against security Sudas Lama of physical assault. Expressing displeasure against this, today the security personnel submitted the said memorandum to the Vice-Chancellor. 


 

On behalf of the security personnel, Hiren Barman said that misbehaving with their officer Sudas Lama amounts to insulting all the personnel. Thus they demand security from the Vice-Chancellor of the University. On the other hand, in this regard, Omprakash Mishra, Vice-Chancellor of North Bengal University said that there is no rule for playing mic without permission on the university campus and added that such harassment toward security personnel will not be tolerated.
