Nantu Paul resigns as Vice-Chairman of SJDA

Siliguri, 09th March: TMC leader Nantu Paul, who recently announced to contest the state assembly election as an independent candidate, resigned from the post as vice-chairman of Siliguri-Jalpaiguri Development Authority (SJDA).


It is to be noted that Paul had expressed his displeasure over Om Prakash Mishra being selected as the Siliguri assembly candidate. Following which, he held a meeting with high-ranking leaders of the Trinamool Congress and decided to quit the party.

On Tuesday, Paul resigned as the vice-chairman of Siliguri-Jalpaiguri Development Authority. He submitted his resignation letter to SJDA CEO Priyanka Singler. He also resigned from the post of vice-chairman of the North Bengal Sports and Games Board. He has already sent his resignation letter to Sports Minister Arup Biswas.
