Cooch Behar, 31st October: Sensation prevailed in the area of Takagachh Sungsungi Bazar area under Pundibazar after the bodies of a couple were recovered from a house this morning. The deceased has been identified as Vishwanath Chakraborty and Lakshmi Chakraborty.
According to the report, the locals noticed the house of the said couple was closed for a long time. When they went to have a look, they found the couple dead inside. They found Lakshmi Chakraborty lying dead in a sleeping position on her bed while Vishwanath was hanging from the noose.
After this, the police of Pundibari police station were informed about the incident. On receiving the news, the police reached the spot and recovered the dead body of the couple and sent it to MJN Medical College and Hospital, Coochbehar for post-mortem. Police have started investigating the matter.
