Siliguri, 09th January: Darjeeling MP Raju Bista joined a Door to Door campaign to inform the people about the Citizenship (Amendment) Act 2019 (CAA). The MP visited various houses in Bagdogra under the Siliguri Subdivision, today. During the event, the Siliguri Organizational District BJP President Praveen Agarwal and many other leaders were present along with Raju Bista.
Apart from interacting with the people, the MP raised awareness among the people regarding the Citizenship (Amendment) Act 2019 (CAA) and distributed leaflets. He also raised awareness among the people regarding the CAA through a ‘Path Sabha’.
Addressing the Siliguri Times, the MP stated that some political parties are misleading the people regarding the CAA. He further stated that the ruling party of West Bengal and the State Chief Minister, Mamata Banerjee, are also misleading the people. So, the campaign has been launched to raise awareness among the people. Leaflets will be distributed and Door to Door campaigns will be launched in various places including the hills to raise awareness among the people, in the future.
