Siliguri, 13th July: The birth anniversary of Adikavi Bhanubhakta Acharya, the pioneer poet of Nepali literature, was observed with due respect at Dinabandhu Mancha in Siliguri.
Darjeeling MP Raju Bista attended the programme and paid floral tribute to the portrait of Bhanubhakta Acharya. Distinguished guests, members from various sections of society, and representatives from the cultural field were also present at the event.
Speaking to the media after the programme, Raju Bista said that Adikavi Bhanubhakta Acharya is an unforgettable figure in Nepali language and literature. He expressed his pride and honour in attending the event and stated that Bhanubhakta’s literary contributions and ideals will continue to inspire future generations.
He further stated that Bhanubhakta Acharya’s contribution is not limited to Nepali language and literature alone but has enriched the cultural heritage of the Nepali-speaking community in India, Nepal, and beyond.
