Phansidewa, 19th February: On Monday, the Minsiter of State (MoS) for Health Chandrima Bhattacharya officially inaugurated a two-day ‘Ayush Mela’ in Phansidewa. The event has been organized under the initiative of the Darjeeling District Health and Family Welfare Department.
Reportedly the event witnessed the presence of Siliguri Mahakuma Parishad Sabhadhipati Arun Ghosh, Chief Medical Officer of Health Dr. Tulsi Pramanik, and others.
Speaking after the inauguration, Chandrima Bhattacharya stated that this is the second ‘Ayush Mela’ organized in the district. A few days ago, a similar camp was held at Kharibari. 54 stalls have been set up at the fair where various government services would be accessible for the general public. She added that the North Bengal Medical College and Hospital (NBMCH) is lagging behind in the reports of the Health Department.
