Siliguri, 16th January: Rajganj MLA and Jalpaiguri District Trinamool Congress Chairman Khageswar Roy and TMC Jalpaiguri District Mahila Sabha leader Nusrat Jahan faced protest during the ‘Didir Suraksha Kavach’ program. Locals protested in the Jabrabhita area under Dabgram-2 circle over issues related to drinking water, drain, and ration.
Today Rajganj MLA offered prayers at Anukul Thakur temple in Thakurnagar. Following this, in the Jabrabhita area, the residents protested after seeing the MLA and party leader Nusrat Jahan. The resident expressed displeasure over several problems and the non-availability of government services.
A resident complained stating how they have been facing problems with the scarcity of drinking water for 20 years. Apart from this, the resident also talked about water clogging problems during monsoons for three to four months. Today, when the MLA reached the area, he was informed about it and he further assured to solve the problems.
