Cooch Behar, 09th August: Sensation prevailed after the body of a woman was recovered from a river near Sutunga Bridge on Chowrangi-Ranirhat Road in Mekhliganj, on Monday morning. The deceased has been identified as Anita Roy (40), a resident of the Barogharia area under Maynaguri police station.
It has been learned that the woman went missing since last night. Following this, her body was recovered from the river this morning. Mekhliganj Police sent the body to Mathabhanga morgue for autopsy.
