Minor missing from Siliguri rescued after 10 days from South 24 Parganas, one arrested

Siliguri, 24th December: In a significant breakthrough, the Siliguri police station successfully rescued a missing minor girl from South 24 Parganas after 10 days. During this, an individual identified as Atiqul Mulla was arrested on charges of abduction. The arrested accused is stated to be a resident of South 24 Parganas.


According to reports, a 15-year-old minor resident of Siliguri’s Dabgram went missing on December 11. Following this, the family members of the minor initiated an extensive search, however, she was untraced. On December 12, the family lodged a missing complaint at Siliguri police station.

Based on the complaint, the police initiated an investigation and gained information that Atiqul took the minor with him. The police responded swiftly and a search for Atiqul Mulla was launched.


During the search, on Saturday, a team from Siliguri police station rescued the minor from South 24 Parganas. Additionally, Atiqul Mulla was arrested and brought to Siliguri. On Sunday, the accused has been produced in Siliguri court. Currently, the police are engaged in a detailed investigation of the entire matter.
