Siliguri, 19th December: The accused in the incident of abduction and later murder of a 12-year-old minor girl of Dakshin Palash area under Pradhan Nagar police station of Siliguri is still at large.
Demanding the arrest of the accused, the teachers of the girl’s school have today submitted a memorandum to the District Magistrate. It is to be noted, that a 12-year-old girl student, a resident of the Dakshin Palash area of Siliguri, had gone missing on December 5 after going to school. The neighbour’s son-in-law Manoj Roy was accused of kidnapping the girl student. Last Tuesday, eight days after the incident, the decomposed body of the girl student was recovered from Sukna tea garden.
At the same time, the accused Manoj Roy still remains absconding since the incident. Today, the teachers of Amiyo Paul Choudhary Smriti Vidyalaya have submitted a memorandum to the District Magistrate, demanding the arrest of the accused and strict punishment.
