Jalpaiguri, 10th June: Sensation prevailed after a minor drowned while bathing in the Teesta River in the Jalpaiguri Saradapally area. The deceased has been identified as Rohan Paswan, a resident of the Jalpaiguri No. 2 Ghumti area.
The incident occurred when a group of 4-5 minors had gone to the Teesta River to take a bath, this morning. As per the report, the locals managed to rescue one out of two minors who drowned in the river.
The locals retrieved Rohan Paswan from the river with the help of a fishing net and immediately rushed him to the Jalpaiguri Super Speciality Hospital, but the doctors declared Rohan dead.
