Minister Goutam Deb took to the streets to raise COVID-19 awareness among the general public

Siliguri, 06th July: Despite the growing number of positive coronavirus cases across the city, several people fail to understand the gravity of the present situation.

Most people are sighted wearing face masks pulled down under their noses, touching their face masks or dropping used face masks in public trash cans. All social distancing rules seem to have been thrown out the window the minute we entered the Unlock phase of the COVID-19 lockdown.

Concerned by such a scenario in Siliguri, Minister Goutam Deb, on Monday morning, took to the streets to raise awareness among the citizens. He visited Subhash Pally Bazaar along with the party workers and distributed masks among the common people. Besides, he also raised awareness among the ones who were roaming around without wearing mouth masks. The Minister is likely to visit other areas of the city to spread awareness.

“People need to be aware. The Fight Corona team along with 105 organizations is working hard to raise awareness in the city,” Deb stated.
