Cooch Behar, 02nd August: Ten pilgrims while on their way to the Jalpesh temple died and several other were injured due to electrocution in the wee hours of Monday at Changrabandha. Today, State Power Minister Aroop Biswas met the families of the deceased and provided them financial assistance of Rs 02 lakh at the community hall located at Sitalkuchi BDO office complex.
The Minister assured to stand by the families of the victims. Meanwhile, the family members of the deceased demanded the administration to pay special attention to the generator so that such incident does not recur in the coming days.
