Bagdogra, 15th November: To commemorate the 147th birth anniversary of the tribal freedom fighter Birsa Munda, a mini marathon was organized by Tarun Sangha Club of Bagdogra.
Reportedly, about 203 youths participated in the said marathon that started from Bhuttabari and ended at the club premises. During the occassion, Bagdogra police station OC Nirmal Kumar Das, Siliguri Mahakuma Parishad member Ajay Oraon, social worker Sanjay Mittal, Manoranjan Singh, club president Sarwan C. Baraik, Rajesh Roy, Palden Lama and others were present as the chief guests. In the said marathon, the first, second and third as well as the best players were awarded.
