Naxalbari, 27th May: A meeting was held at the Naxalbari Block Development Office building with officials from health, education, public health, police, land, forest, and excise departments regarding development in the Naxalbari block.
The meeting was conducted by MLA Ananadamay Barman, who collected details from the concerned departments on work status, existing problems, and progress of development work in the area.

MLA Barman said that similar meetings were earlier held at Matigara Block Development Office and with officials of the Siliguri Mahakuma Parishad. He stated that earlier such administrative meetings were not held with elected representatives, but the present government conducts meetings with all representatives.
He added that the aim is to ensure corruption-free administration and resolve local issues. He further said that any complaints or evidence of corruption in future will not be tolerated, and strict action will be taken if required, including against government officials.
