Jalpaiguri, 17th July: To tackle the situation after the third wave of COVID-19 hits the district, a meeting was called at the Jalpaiguri Municipality on the directions of Jalpaiguri District Magistrate, with the high-level officials, members of the Administrative Board of the Municipality, Police Administration, various business organizations and Toto Driver Unions.
After the meeting, Chairperson Papia Paul said that in today’s meeting, all precautionary steps to be taken regarding the third wave of COVID were discussed. Paul spoke on the issue of crowding at various markets of the city and stated that discussions have been held with business organizations so that buyers wear masks and maintain COVID protocols. Also, Naka checking will be conducted in the coming days.
