Matua community to support BJP in this 2021 assembly polls

Siliguri, 06th April: During a press conference at the Siliguri Journalists Club on Tuesday, the Matua community declared their support to the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) in this year’s assembly polls.


Nitai Chowdhury, a member of the organization, said that they will support BJP in the entire North Bengal. If the party comes to power, they will present several demands to the government, including setting up a university in Siliguri in the name of Matua community founders Harichand and Guruchand Thakur, establishing Matua Development Board, construction of Matua Bhawan in all district headquarters, giving business and agricultural loans in meagre interest rates.

The organization also organized a rally in the city in support of the BJP candidates.
