Siliguri, 24th March: The undercover police of Matigara police station have recovered a stolen scooter after a month and arrested a youth in connection to the incident. The accused has been identified as Mohammad Nazir.
As per the police sources, a scooter was stolen from Uttorayon on the night of February 11. On the very next day, the owner of the vehicle, Manish Aggarwal of Dasrath Pally, lodged a complaint at the police station.
On Thursday night, based on a tip-off, the police campaigned in Paribahan Nagar and spotted Mohammad Nazir roaming with a scooter. Acting on suspicion, the police interrogated the youth. On asking for the documentation of the scooter, the youth failed to provide any. After this, the police arrested him along with the two-wheeler. Today the accused was produced in the Siliguri court.
