Siliguri, 21st July: Sensation prevailed in the area after the dead body of a man was found hanging from the noose in the Kalam Jote area of Matigara. The deceased has been identified as Subodh Mallick, who worked as a pharmacist in North Bengal Medical College and Hospital (NBMCH).
According to reports, on Thursday night, the family of the deceased found Subodh hanging from the noose at their house. Upon receiving the news, police arrived at the spot and recovered the body, and sent it for autopsy. Meanwhile, speculations made by family and locals revealed that the deceased had taken the extreme step following a family dispute. As per sources, Subodh was a leader of the NBMCH employees union and was also known to be a social worker.
