Alipurduar, 18th October: Sensation prevailed after the body of a person was found hanging from a noose in Alipurduar. The deceased has been identified as Deven Das.
It has been learned that the locals sighted the hanging body in a bamboo bush near the Madhya Narathali area in Alipurduar district. Upon receiving the news, the Kamakhyaguri outpost police reached the spot and recovered the body.
Police have sent the body to Alipurduar District Hospital for autopsy and started an investigation into the incident.
