Man fires at police during a raid in Siliguri, IC narrowly escaped, sub-inspector injured

Siliguri, 20th December: Shocking news of firing bullets at police during a raid has come to the fore. The incident has surfaced from a flat in Dagapur area. 


 

Reportedly, on Monday late night when the police of the Pradhan Nagar police station had gone to raid the said flat along with the presence of IC Anirban Bhattacharya. During the raid, a person identified as Raj Pandey fired at the IC which the IC Anirban Bhattacharya narrowly escaped. But, the bullet hit the leg of Sub-Inspector Rabindranath Sarkar after which he sustained injuries. 


 

The injured sub-inspector is currently undergoing treatment at Matigara’s nursing home. Police Commissioner Akhilesh Kumar Chaturvedi said that the investigation of the entire incident has started. However, there are many criminal charges against the accused Raj Pandey.
