Kalchini, 29th June: A person was killed after the Siliguri-Bamanhat train hit him in the Dima Beech line area of Kalchini block. The identity of the deceased had not been ascertained till the time of reporting.
The incident took place this morning at around 10.30 a.m. Upon receiving the news of the incident, Kalchini police and RPF reached the spot and recovered the body, and sent it for postmortem. Police are investigating the whole incident.
