Phansidewa. 23rd November: A person died after being hit by a bus while crossing the road. The tragic incident surfaced in front of Bhimbar market on National Highway-31 in Phansidewa on Wednesday morning.
The deceased has been identified as Varun Sarkar (37). Reportedly, the said person was heading towards his shop this morning and while crossing the road on his way a bus hit him resulting in his death.
After the incident, the police of Bidhannagar police station reached the spot and promptly took action and arrested the driver and his assistant. At the same time, the dead body was recovered and sent to North Bengal Medical College and Hospital for postmortem. The police have initiated a further investigation into the incident.
