Siliguri, 20th March: The cops of Matigara police station of Siliguri Metropolitan have continuously been running a campaign against drugs across the city. In the last three days, the undercover police of Matigara police station got three successes.
Reportedly, on Sunday late night, once again the Matigara police arrested a person and recovered hundreds of pieces of illegal drug injections from him. The accused has been identified as Vivek Sau. Vivek was roaming around late on Sunday night in Matigara’s Khaprail More with the drugs.
As soon as the news was received, the police launched a campaign and arrested him with the drugs. Police have registered a case against Vivek Sau under the NDPS Act and produced him in the Siliguri court today. The police have also demanded the remand of the accused from the court to investigate the matter. The police are probing the entire matter.
