Man arrested with four country-made pistols in Alipurduar

Siliguri, 30th May: A man identified as Deepak Jha, resident of Shamuktala in Alipurduar, was arrested with four country-made pistols. 
Reportedly, the police conducted an operation in front of a petrol pump in the Birpara Chowpatty area adjoining Alipurduar. Upon suspicion, Deepak Jha was apprehended and after searching him, police recovered four country-made pistols from his bag. After questioning, the police comprehended that the accused had carried the firearms from Bihar to trade in different districts of North Bengal.
Alipurduar Additional Superintendent of Police Amlan Ghosh informed regarding the case by holding a press conference in the District Superintendent of Police's office. The accused was produced in court today.
