Man arrested for spying for Pakistan in Siliguri

Siliguri, 21st December: STF has arrested a person for spying for Pakistan in Siliguri. The accused has been identified as Guddu Kumar, a resident of Champaran in Bihar. Guddu had been living in a rented house in Siliguri and used to ride Toto in which he used to travel to different areas in and around the city. 


 

According to sources, for about two years, he used to send information about army camps in Siliguri and surrounding areas to Pakistan and also used to take money for the same. Today, on the basis of tip-off, the Special Task Force (STF) of the State Police arrested Guddu Kumar by conducting an operation in the area adjacent to Netaji More of NJP. 


 

Today the accused has been produced in the Jalpaiguri court and has been taken into police custody for 14 days. Police is suspicious that several other people are involved along with the arrested person. Thus, STF will take him into custody and proceed with the investigation.
