Phansidewa, 11th April: A distressing incident has come to light from Chathat area of Phansidewa where an individual was apprehended for allegedly molesting a minor. The arrested accused has been identified as Krishna Pal, a resident of the said area.
As per details received, the accused Krishna Pal allegedly molested a minor girl of the area on the previous week. Upon hearing the girl’s scream, the accused fled from the scene. However, the accused harassed the minor once again and threatened to assault her family.
Subsequently, the minor’s family lodged a complaint at the Phansidewa police station. Based on the complaint, the police arrested the accused. On Thursday, the accused has been produced before the Siliguri Sub-Divisional Court.
