Mamata Banerjee holds roadshow in Siliguri, takes a jibe at BJP

Siliguri, 07th March: Trinamool supremo Mamata Banerjee, on Sunday, staged a grand rally in Siliguri protesting against the gas cylinder and petrol-diesel price hike. She was accompanied by several TMC candidates including MP Mimi Chakraborty and Nusrat Jahan.

After reaching Hashmi Chowk, Banerjee addressed the gathering and took a jibe at the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP). She said that the Modi government is selling the country. She asked all to boycott BJP in the upcoming elections if gas cylinders are not provided free of cost.

Besides, Mamata Banerjee also expressed outrage over the fact that PM Narendra Modi was not beside the people during the pandemic period. Whereas, she claimed that she took to the streets during such difficult times for staying beside the common people.

However, several speculations surfaced among the political environment regarding the gas cylinder price hike being used as TMC’s election campaign in North Bengal.
