Leopard terror grips Rajganj Kukurjan Gram Panchayat area

Rajganj, 24th April: After the footprints of a leopard were spotted, early Friday morning, at the Rajganj Kukurjan Gram Panchayat Pipli Para area, the locals are under the grip of leopard terror.


The locals stated that they sighted a leopard near Telipara village on Thursday night. The wild animal then headed towards the Pipli para area.

A local Tinku Deb Adhikary claimed that leopard footprints were spotted in his residence as well as in the nearby farmland and the tea garden premises. The people of the area have been terrorized since the incident.


Upon receiving the news, Belakoba Range officer Sanjay Dutta and the forest department officials reached the spot and are said to plant a cage tonight to trap the wild animal. He further maintained that the forest officials are patrolling in the surrounding areas.
