Alipurduar, 21st May: Terror gripped the Tasati Tea Estate in Dooars following a recent leopard attack in the cow shed of a house on the Road Line of the tea garden on Monday night.
Local sources revealed that the leopard entered the cow shed of a resident, Ajit Khariar, in the Falakata block and tried to drag a goat. Upon hearing the noise of the attack, the locals and the people of the residence rushed to the scene and found the goat severely injured.
The incident led to a widespread atmosphere of terror in the location. Local resident urged the forest officials to adequate measures to prevent future leopard attacks.
