Siliguri, 30th December: The last monthly session of the year 2022 was held at Siliguri Municipal Corporation on Friday. Reportedly, during the beginning of the session, everyone observed silence by paying tribute to Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s departed mother Heeraben Modi, and football legend Pele.
After this, the session commenced. In the session, the opposition parties highlighted the water problem and traffic problems of the city. At the same time, CPM councilor Moushumi Hazra also raised the problem of traffic. However, the Mayor apologized to the common people for the water problem and promised a permanent solution to the concern. He also said that several schemes have been adopted to make the city free from traffic jams.
