Khageshwar Roy arrives with party symbol, nomination papers in Rajganj

Rajganj, 13th March: Trinamool Congress candidate for Rajganj Assembly Khageswar Roy arrived in Rajganj from Kolkata with the party symbol and nomination papers.


Upon his arrival, he handed over the party symbol and nomination letter to his wife. Reportedly, he will submit the papers to the Election Commission Office after taking the blessings of God on the specified day.


It is noteworthy that Khageswar Roy has been elected as the Trinamool candidate at Rajganj assembly constituency six times in a row. He has been contesting for TMC from Rajganj since 2001. He defeated the Communist Party of India (Marxist)(CPM) candidate in the by-election in 2009 and hoisted the Trinamool flag in Rajganj for the first time. After this, from 2011 to 2016, TMC’s reign lives on in the Rajganj assembly.
