Alipurduar, 26th September: On Monday, ‘Karam Puja’ was grandly celebrated by the people of the Dooars section. Following the completion of the puja, young men and women immersed ‘Karam Dali’ at various river ghats including Dima, Basra, and Madhu of Alipurduar district on Tuesday morning.
As per reports, the Karam Puja commenced on Monday. Significantly, the Puja is one of the widely celebrated festivals of the tribal community. As part of the celebrations, various programs were held throughout the night.
