Siliguri, 25th June: The members of Siliguri Joy Bangla organization, on Thursday, felicitated several police officials and many other Corona warriors for their selfless work amid the pandemic. Masks were also distributed among them.
Three years ago, a tough situation was witnessed in the hills regarding the demand for a separate state of Gorkhaland. During which, the aforementioned organization, along with the citizens, took to the streets on June 25 to protest against the division of West Bengal. Since then, the organization celebrates June 25 as Siliguri Day.
