Jalpaiguri, 09th November: Sensation prevailed after a woman allegedly killed her husband during a family dispute. The incident surfaced from the Banarhat Binnaguri tea garden of the Jalpaiguri district.
The accused woman has already been arrested by the Banarhat police. The incident caused a stir in the area.
According to local sources, tension over several issues had been hovering over Ranjit Oraon and his wife Agni Oraon for the past several days. Allegedly the course of the conflict took a violent turn on Sunday evening. Furious Agni Oraon attacked her husband on his head, severely injuring him on the spot.
The locals rescued Ranjit and rushed him to the hospital, where he died shortly afterwards. Police have sent the body for an autopsy and are investigating the whole incident.
