Jalpaiguri, 24th October: In view of the rising COVID-19 cases in the state after Durga Puja, the Police superintendent took to the streets in Jalpaiguri to raise awareness among the general public.
Awareness was raised through a rally from Kadamtala more in Jalpaiguri. The rally toured different parts of the city. Superintendent of Police Devarshi Dutta, Additional Superintendent of Police Palash Chandra Dhali, DSP Headquarters Sameer Paul, and others were present.
Superintendent of Police Devarshi Dutta said “Many are spotted in the streets without mouth masks. Hence, we are spreading awareness throughout the district. The ones violating the rules will be punished from now on.”
