Jalpaiguri, 17th June: Acting on a tip-off, the Jalpaiguri Kotwali police arrested four youths with around 100 kgs of cannabis.
A large police force led by IC Arghya Sarkar launched operations on the national highway near Paharpur in Jalpaiguri on Thursday. Several packets of cannabis were being transported in a pickup van and another vehicle. Police gheraoed both the vehicles and recovered around 100 kgs of cannabis.
According to police sources, the cannabis was being smuggled from Assam to Bihar.
