Rajganj, 04th February: Jalpaiguri district-in-council president Uttara Barman laid the foundation stone for the construction of a paved road in Rajganj, on Thursday. She inaugurated the 13-km road from Milan Pally under Mantadari Gram Panchayat to Bodaganj.
The road is being constructed at a cost of around 1 crore 10 lakh rupees under the supervision of Jalpaiguri District-in-council.
Uttara Barman said that the locals had demanded a paved road for a long time. Considering their demands, the foundation stone of the road was laid today. Rajganj MLA Khageshwar Roy, Mantadari Anchal pradhan Deepak Biswas, Haripada Roy, Dhanesh Barman, Dharni Roy, and many others were present at the programme.
