Jagdeep Dhankhar urges Mamata Banerjee to update him regarding the steps initiated to tackle the Coronavirus pandemic

Kolkata, 17th March: The Governor of West Bengal, Jagdeep Dhankhar, has urged the Chief Minister of West Bengal, Mamata Banerjee, to update him regarding the steps initiated to tackle the Coronavirus pandemic. 


Dhankhar stated that he found out from media reports that several steps have been initiated in the public interest by the State Government, including the creation of a fund of 200 crore rupees to tackle the Coronavirus outbreak. Certain precautionary measures have also reportedly been taken to ensure containment of the Coronavirus pandemic.

He further mentioned that this is a situation when all enjoined with obligations need to work in synergy and create a climate of working in togetherness. He further stated that he hopes all concerned in the health sector and the NGOs will come forward to participate wholesomely.


Governor Dhankhar has appealed to the people to be patient and take all precautions by fully adhering to the advisories of the State Government and the Central Government.
