Siliguri, 26th September: The 202nd birth anniversary of Pandit Ishwar Chandra Vidyasagar was observed by the Siliguri Municipal Corporation through a programme at College Para Children’s Park.
City administrator Goutam Deb, members of the board of administrators Ranjan Sarkar, Alok Chakraborty, Vivek Vaid and other members paid tribute to Ishwar Chandra Vidyasagar by garlanding his statue.
Addressing the media, Goutam Deb said that the birth anniversary of Pandit Ishwar Chandra Vidyasagar was celebrated in a low key considering the prevailing pandemic.
