Siliguri, 27th June: Sports and Youth Services Minister Indranil Khan on Saturday announced that an international-standard stadium will be developed in North Bengal following his visit to the Kanchenjunga Stadium in Siliguri.
After arriving in Siliguri, the minister visited Kanchenjunga Stadium and inspected the playing field, galleries, and other infrastructure facilities.
Speaking to the media, Indranil Khan said that the existing stadium is in a poor condition, with overgrown weeds and deteriorating infrastructure. He stated that the government plans to upgrade the existing facilities and develop an international-standard stadium in North Bengal.
