Injured deer rescued in Matigara

Siliguri, 8th January: An injured deer was rescued from the Matigara’s Palpara area adjacent to Siliguri. Locals sighted the deer around 8 am and reported the incident to the forest department who immediately reached the spot and rescued the animal.


As the news of the incident spread like wildfire, huge crowds gathered to watch the deer.

Forest Department official Samiran Pal stated that the deer might have escaped from the Sukna Forest or Bangdubi Forest. The deer will be released into the woods after proper treatment.
