India-Bangladesh freight train service commenced today

Siliguri, 01st August: After a long wait, the India-Bangladesh freight train service has started on Sunday.


Both the countries have been seen to take various initiatives including passenger trains for a long time to maintain good relations. The freight train number 12529 left NJP station at 9.10 am for Bangladesh with 59 stone-loaded bogies.

According to railway sources, from now on, freight trains will leave for Bangladesh every day.
