Kalchini, 01st March: Sensation ensued after a husband attempted a fatal attack on his wife with a sharp weapon. The wife has been seriously injured in the said incident. The incident has surfaced from the Nimti Domhani area under the Kalchini block.
Reportedly, Sajni Barman stabbed his wife Furfri Barman in the leg with a sharp weapon on Tuesday late at night over a family dispute. Due to this, Furfri Burman was seriously injured.
After this, the information about the incident was given to the police. Meanwhile, Furfri Barman was rushed to Latabari Rural in critical condition and then referred to Alipurduar District Hospital. At the same time, the Kalchini police arrested the accused husband and produced him in the Alipurduar District Court.
