Kharibari, 01st November: Based on a tip-off, the jawans of the 41st Battalion of SSB launched operations and arrested two men from the Indo-Nepal border along with a large quantity of illegal betel nuts. The arrested accused have been identified as Biman Ghosh and Rajesh Ghosh, residents of the Naxalbari Daharamjote area.
Reportedly, the recovered betel nuts were being smuggled from Nepal to Dhupguri through Naxalbari. Around 51 bags containing 3,000 kg of betel nuts were recovered from their possession.
