Bagdogra, 27th September: Continuous rainfall over the last two days has left Bagdogra’s Asian Highway waterlogged, with water flowing over the road. The area around Bihar More in Bagdogra resembles a river, causing severe inconvenience to motorists and locals alike.
Drivers have complained that the situation has worsened due to the clogged sewage system, which has not been cleaned, leading to stagnant water. The ongoing waterlogging is causing significant problems for commuters, and locals are concerned that the situation will deteriorate if the rain continues.
According to weather department sources, the rain is expected to intensify in the coming days. North Bengal districts are likely to experience heavy to very heavy rainfall on Friday, exacerbating the waterlogging situation further.
